A look inside the Smithsonian Arts and Industries Building

Nestled among the many Smithsonian Institution Museums is the Arts and Industries Building, the original home to the National Museum, opened in 1879. Designed by Adolf Cluss, it’s an incredible space. The soaring and light-filled structure will present a new exhibition this fall. Futures will host a “vast array of interactives, artworks, technologies, and ideas that are glimpses into humanity’s next chapter.”

I cannot wait for the exhibition to be installed and to see what this museum will add to the National Mall. For more information about the historic structure, visit https://aib.si.edu/the-building/
