Catching a Double Sunrise
Anyone who photographs sunrises regularly knows the light comes and goes quickly. Sometimes leaving just a minute or two to capture the best light. This morning’s sunrise came and went twice. A combination of high and low clouds brought together a moody pink sky followed by dramatic and fast moving orange tones a few minutes later.
As the first color began to fade, I started to think about packing up. The low clouds appeared to block the sun along the horizon. In a fortunate turn of events, a break in the clouds far off let the sun burst through and catch the tops of the low clouds.
