Frozen Capitol

In the depths of the DC winter, the bodies of water around the nation’s capital have frozen over. Even with the cold and crisp, clear skies the mornings are still dramatic. The glow of the rising sun casts a perfect light across the skyline for just a few fleeting moments. Revealing the texture of the ice and broken by the movement of the ice across the surface of the water, the faceted reflections create the illusion of the broken mirror to another dimension.
