Snowy Washington

Its been many years since we’ve had a really good snow in DC. This past week’s storm wasn’t the biggest, but is was beautiful. The we snow clung to every surface and created a magical atmosphere in the city. There is a wonderful quiet on these days. Even with others out walking around in the city, the gently falling snow deaden’s the sound and brings the light closer in. It brings you to the immediate surroundings, focusing on the way the snow falls on each individual nook and cranny of everything exposed to the sky. Its during these wet snows the forms and surfaces are revealed in a different way.
